From Thaw to Foundation.
Everyone reporting for duty.
Spring has officially arrived here at Hens & Honey Ridge, and with that the ground finally thawed, it feels like everything is coming to life.
After what felt like an ever-lasting Winter we’ve hit some major mile stones on our cabin journey. The mud is drying and now the real work has begun.
A couple of Cape Breton’s Finest hard at work.
We’ve officially dug the hole for the cabin, which made everything suddenly feel very real. What was once a vision we talked about and planned for is now taking shape. Since then we’ve cleared a few more trees to make room, opening up the space beautifully while still keeping that peaceful, tucked-away feel we love.
The concrete foundation walls have just been poured and seeing that foundation in place is such a great feeling. It’s the first true physical piece of what Hens & Honey Ridge is becoming, and every step forward feels like we’re not just building a cabin but an experience we can’t wait to share.
Ready for concrete.
And there’s more…
Our outdoor sauna is in production and should be arriving within the next couple of weeks! We can already picture future guests unwinding in the warmth after a day spent exploring Cape Breton or simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings here on the Ridge.
A little snippet from my vision board.
While the big construction pieces move forward, I’ve also been busy behind the scenes hunting down the best Spring deals on decor and furniture, carefully choosing things that will help create the cozy, welcoming retreat we’ve been envisioning from the start.
Hens & Honey Ridge is growing, and we’re so excited to keep sharing this journey with you.
Stay tuned, there’s so much more to come.
