Windows In, Wires On, and a Kitchen Sink in Our Powder Room
It's amazing how quickly things can change on a build!
Windows and doors are in!…Minus a damaged one.
Since our last update, we've reached another exciting milestone at Hens & Honey Ridge. The windows and doors have now been installed, giving the cabin its true shape and bringing our vision to life. We also painted all of the window and door trim black, creating the modern rustic look we've been dreaming about from the very beginning.
Looking Sharp!
Inside, the transformation continues. The entire cabin has now been framed, and the electrical wiring is underway. Every week it feels a little less like a construction site and a little more like the peaceful retreat we've imagined for so long.
Meanwhile, our own house has slowly turned into a storage warehouse!
Furniture, light fixtures, décor, linens—you name it, it's probably stacked somewhere in our living space. We even have the kitchen sink... literally!
It's been a little chaotic, but seeing all of the pieces come together makes it feel that much more real.
Like most building projects, we've hit one small bump in the road.
Unfortunately, our patio door arrived damaged, so we're currently waiting for a replacement before we can move ahead with the exterior.
While it's a bit of a setback, we'd much rather take the time to do it right than rush the process.
The good news? The siding has already arrived and is stacked up, ready to go.
As soon as the new patio door is installed, we'll be moving full speed ahead on the exterior, and we can't wait to see the cabin wrapped in its final colors.
Every milestone brings us one step closer to welcoming our very first guests.
Thank you for following along on this journey with us—we're so excited to continue sharing the progress as Hens & Honey Ridge comes to life.
Stay tuned... the next update should be a big one!
