Reviews

  • This is a 10 star stay. We loved our time here and will absolutely be back. Shortly after checking in we we’re looking to see if we could extend. This Airbnb is full of person touches, pride of ownership and love. You can feel it. The details are perfectly done and the home is meticulously clean. The floors gleam, the bathrooms are spotless, there wasn’t a speck of dust and this is a country farmhouse! The house is spacious and comfortable. The value in this stay is amazing!!! There is every amenity you could think of and then more. Soft white towels and laundry facilities and bathbombs, indoor games, books and puzzles, outdoor games, beautiful outdoor lighting oh and a hot tub! This place is designed to enjoy and we truly did. So if the house isn’t enough, the hosts are the epitome of hospitality. Ashley and Matt are kind, engaging and truly beautiful people. The check in is welcoming and there are farm fresh eggs that were delicious (and pretty) and a beautiful welcome basket. The hosts have made an online guidebook and have a printed one to share their beautiful area and help you make the most of your visit. We had no idea there were so many things so local so we need to go back and are already planning our next trip. On top of all of these things, they welcomed us to their home farm to meet their animals. My daughter was just delighted. We were lucky enough to purchase some of their soap and can’t wait to share with our friends and family! If you haven’t booked yet, do it or someone else will!

  • This airbnb surpassed my expectations. So much character, charm and thoughtfulness was portrayed in how the hosts prepared the house for our stay. Felt like a “home away from home”. The host left some of their farm’s products on display for us to enjoy, which brought warmth and joy to mine and my kids’ hearts. Will definitely be making this gem our go-to spot every time we visit the Island and will suggest it to anyone who decides to visit!

  • There is not one bad thing I can think of about this place. Everything is so well thought out and thoughtfully done. Ashley & Matt are FANTASTIC hosts. The home and property is not only beautiful and cozy but so clean with personal touches throughout. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and yard. The beds, pillows and furniture are super comfortable. Be sure to purchase Ashley’s homemade soap- it is amazing as well. We would LOVE to be back.

  • We had at great stay at Hen's and Honey house and Ashley was a great host. Loved the clear instruction booklets and the fresh eggs. 5 of us stayed here as home base during our motorcycle tour of Cape Breton and the cabot trail. After riding all day it sure was nice to come back and use the tub. They have a nice Bbq so most meals were cooked outside. We also enjoyed the nightly visits from the local deer. Would stay again for sure.

  • Ashley and Matt truly deserve five stars for their exceptional hosting! Their beautiful home exudes a delightful ambiance that's complemented by tasteful decor and impeccable cleanliness. The thoughtful inclusion of local coffee, honey, and eggs added a delightful touch to our arrival. The well-stocked kitchen made it convenient for us to simply pick up some bread, butter, and basic groceries. The serene surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying the hot tub and unwinding in tranquility. Matt's hospitality was outstanding, not only giving us a tour of his farm but also introducing us to the goats and adorable chicks. Exploring the charming area of St. Peters and Isle Madame was a treat, and the wonderful memories we created during the weekend will stay with us. My wife, daughter, and I had an unforgettable getaway thanks to Ashley and Matt!

  • It is the best Airbnb I have booked yet. Both Ashley and Matt are perfect hosts. They have all the amenities and the house was above and beyond our expectations. As mentioned in other reviews as well, the hot tub was the best experience one can have under the open sky with stars. The farm visit was also special as both Ashley and Matt were very responsive to all our questions and gave us a very detailed overview of the things they manage. The complimentary eggs were amazing in taste and felt fresh. Lastly, do not miss to buy the pure and fresh honey from them when you visit the farm. Highly recommended! Would love to visit again for a few more days :)
